Federico Bencini - contemporary painter - was born in Siena on May 5, 1972 and spent the first thirty years of his life in Tuscany, in the heart of the Chianti hills.

In 1990 he obtains the diploma in painting at the Art Institute "Duccio di Buoninsegna" of Siena, then in 1995 he obtains the degree in scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence.

Starting from 1996 he works as a restorer and painter specialized in interior decoration in many Italian cities and foreign locations, mainly located in Northern and Central Italy, Northern Europe, Kuwait and United Arab Emirates, experimenting with different painting techniques on different types of materials.

In these years of research and growth of a more mature and defined artistic identity, Bencini had the opportunity to realize important works. The decorations of the towers and palaces of San Gimignano, the decoration of the Guelfo Castle in Padua, as well as the decorations of the royal palaces owned by the Emir of Kuwait and the city of Dubai, are some examples.

It is in 2005 that he began his first personal exhibitions in high design stores and art galleries. Today his artistic work is present in Italy, Spain, Asia, United States and Northern Europe. For over 14 years the artist has opened two art galleries in Barcelona, where he creates and exhibits his own works, defined as "Fragments of Memory". Each fragment is a unique piece. Scraps belonging to larger works, separated into several pieces and scattered around the world to tell their story. A game of paper, iron, magnet, wood and a wide range of colors. Mobile compositions, in constant transformation, where the viewer can interact with the work and create personalized installations.

At the end of December 2019 Bencini presents his latest collection, "An intimate journey". The artist's Action Painting transforms aseptic metal plates into lieux de mémoire, postcards of an inner world full of memories, passions and sensory experiences, traces of his most authentic and primordial identity.

Currently Bencini collaborates with different artists and exhibits in art galleries and international contemporary art fairs around the world.
